Sweet Christmas Quotes

Sweet Christmas Quotes

You probably know that Christmas is celebrated on December 25. In the United States, families distribute gifts that Santa Claus left under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. Many attend church services on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, and later gather for Christmas dinner with extended family.
Christmas is the observance of Jesus’ humble birth to a virgin in a stable in Bethlehem. The holiday also celebrates the events surrounding his birth, such as an angel’s appearance to shepherds, telling them to visit the newborn king.
Although the Church doesn’t consider it the most important Christian holiday, Christmas is certainly the most popular, at least in terms of cultural and social significance.
The early Church, believing that events later in Jesus’s life should be the focus, didn’t even consider it all that significant. What’s more, when Church leaders first discussed observing the birthday of Jesus, some argued against celebrating it like you would another great person in history. Nonetheless, the Church had enough pro-observance support to mark the calendar.
Neither the New Testament nor any historical record marks the exact date of Jesus’s birth. As a result, the Church initially considered many different dates, including January 2, March 21, March 25, April 18, April 19, May 20, May 28, November 17, and November 20. The Western Church first observed December 25 in the fourth century, and eventually Eastern Churches followed suit.
Christmas has its origins as a pagan holiday. December 25 was selected to line up with severalpaganRoman holidays that celebrated the winter solstice and worship of the sun.
Most of the traditional customs of Christmas, such as gift giving, tree decorating, light hanging, and feasting, come from sources other than the Church.
The historical roots of Santa Claus come from many sources. The earliest known inspiration for the legend comes from the fourth century in the form of Saint Nicholas of Myra, a Greek Christian figure known for his generosity to the poor.
Mentions of Santa Claus types of figures appear in Germanic lore and various northern European religions that thrived before Christianity took hold. The American version of Santa Claus seems to have originated from a Dutch legend about Sinter Klaas, which settlers brought to America in the seventeenth century. Americans embraced the idea of Santa Claus, who was said to deliver gifts to good boys and girls on Christmas Eve.
To many Americans, Santa Claus embodies the spirit of giving. To celebrate the nature of Santa Claus during the Christmas holidays, many people not only give gifts to loved ones, but they also donate time and money to charities.

Sweet Family Quotes

Sweet Family Quotes

Family is the smallest social group in the human societies. It is both an association and institution. In general, it consists of a man and women with a child or children. It is the most universal of all groups, associations and institutions of human society based on emotional ties. It occupies a nuclear position in the social organisation with unlimited responsibilities of its members. Its structure and functions change with time. A variation in culture, social system and social value brings variations in family types. We come across various types’ family in human society. On the basis of size and structure it may be nuclear, conjugal and extended family. On the basis of descent or ancestry it may be patrilineal, matrilined and bilineal. On the basis of authority, it may be patriarchal, matriarchal and equalitarian. On the basis of residence, it is divided as patrilocal, matrilocal, bilocal and avuncu-local.
As one of the fundamental social institutions it performs several functions to charter the needs of human beings. Sociologist like Goode, K.Davis, Ougburn and Nimkoff, MacIver and Page etc. classify the functions of family. The best categorizations of functions of family have been made by MacIver and Page. They grouped the functions of family into two broad categories i.e. essential and non-essential functions. Under essential functions they include (1) stable satisfaction of sex need (2) Reproduction (3) Protection and care of the young (4) socializing functions and (5) provision of a home. Similarly, under non-essential functions they include economic, educational, religious, and recreational and functions related to health.
With the change of time and necessity, the functions of family have undergone a sea change. The functions which were traditionally performed by the family are now being shifted to some secondary institutions because the modern family fails to give traditional protection for the aged, diseased, mentally retarded, physically handicapped etc. Family is no longer a self sufficient unit. It is more a consumer unit than a producing center. In spite of the changes in the functions of family in modern time, the family is still persisting as one of the most important institutions because the traditional functions of family have been modified than lost.

Sweet Friend Quotes

Sweet Friend Quotes

Someone has said, “A friend is a person who is willing to take me the way I am.” Accepting this as one definition of the word, may I quickly suggest that we are something less than a real friend if we leave a person the same way we find him.
There seems to be a misunderstanding on the part of some men today as to what it means to be a friend. Acts of a friend should result in self-improvement, better attitudes, self-reliance, comfort, consolation, self-respect, and better welfare. Certainly the word friend is misused if it is identified with a person who contributes to our delinquency, misery, and heartaches. When we make a man feel he is wanted, his whole attitude changes. Our friendship will be recognizable if our actions and attitudes result in improvement and independence.
It takes courage to be a real friend. Some of us endanger the valued classification of friend because of our unwillingness to be one under all circumstances. Fear can deprive us of friendship. Some of us identify our closest friends as those with the courage to remain and share themselves with us under all circumstances. A friend is a person who will suggest and render the best for us regardless of the immediate consequences. Sir Winston Churchill became Great Britain’s greatest friend in his country’s darkest hour because he was courageous enough to call for “blood, toil, tears, and sweat” when some would have accepted him more readily as a friend had he advocated peaceful surrender.
President Abraham Lincoln was once criticized for his attitude toward his enemies. “Why do you try to make friends of them?” asked an associate. “You should try to destroy them.”
“Am I not destroying my enemies,” Lincoln gently replied, “when I make them my friends?”
Are we not within our rights as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to regard our prophet, seer, and revelator, President Harold B. Lee, as a close personal friend as he leaves us improved daily by his willingness to reprove, admonish, love, encourage, and guide according to our needs? President Lee is our friend; I bear witness he is, in the fullest and most noble sense of the word, and he will lead us by inspiration and by his courageous character.

Sweet Couple Quotes

Sweet Couple Quotes

A special case of moments is a couple. A couple consists of two parallel forces that are equal in magnitude, opposite in sense and do not share a line of action. It does not produce any translation, only rotation. The resultant force of a couple is zero. BUT, the resultant of a couple is not zero; it is a pure moment.
For example, the forces that two hands apply to turn a steering wheel are often (or should be) a couple. Each hand grips the wheel at points on opposite sides of the shaft. When they apply a force that is equal in magnitude yet opposite in direction the wheel rotates. If both hands applied a force in the same direction, the sum of the moments created by each force would equal zero and the wheel would not rotate. Instead of rotating around the shaft, the shaft would be loaded with a force tending to cause a translation with a magnitude of twice F. If the forces applied by the two hands were unequal, there would again be an unbalanced force creating a translation of the "system." A pure couple always consists of two forces equal in magnitude.
The moment of a couple is the product of the magnitude of one of the forces and the perpendicular distance between their lines of action. M = F x d. It has the units of kip-feet, pound-inches, KN-meter, etc. The magnitude of the moment of a couple is the same for all points in the plane of the couple. A couple may be moved anywhere in its plane or a parallel plane without changing its external effect. The magnitude of the couple is independent of the reference point and its tendency to create a rotation will remain constant. This can be illustrated with the simple illustration of a bar with a length d that is pinned at its midpoint. Two parallel forces of equal magnitude, opposite in sense are applied at the ends of the bar. The magnitude of the moment generated by the couple of the forces F, relative to the pin in the illustration,
If two opposite moments act to cause an object to rotate, such as when your two hand are at the 'quarter-past-three' position on a car steering wheel, it is called a couple. The moment of a couple is called the torque. It is quite often said of engines and applys to the ability of the engine to turn the wheels, or wrongly by Jeremy Clarkson from 'Top Gear' as in, "This engine has a lot of torques."

The torque is a psuedo-vector quantity. That is, it has magnitude and it has a direction that is projected perpendicular to the plane of the vectorsF and r. The direction of the vector from the plane follows a right-handed corkscrew rule or equivalently the right-hand screw rule.

Sweet Relationship Quotes

  Stwee Relationship Quotes

Source:- Google.com.pk

Honestly it depends on how you think what a relationship means. If your younger , say in high school, there are boyfriend and girlfriends who say their in a relationship. So thery're dating. Their still young so their relationship isn't something serious. If you were out of highschool maybe, and were in a dating relationship, it could be taken more serious because with the older age, settling down is more of n option. Then again, there's also a relationship meaning you relate well with someone. For example : me and my younger brother have a strong relationship. That doesnt mean we're dating, it just means we relate and get along well. Actually the origin of the word "relationship" is; "sense of being related," from relation + -ship. Specifically of romantic or sexual relationships.
As I mentioned before though, it all depends on you.
There are various types of relationships such as friend, work, dating & marriage, and family relationships. As we go through life, we will meet a variety of people and will build relationships with them, whether they be good or bad. The relationships we make with other people will be with us forever so it is greatly important that we make these relationships lasting and good.
have a good relationship with is someone who is always there for you no matter what. A friend is someone who you can trust to tell anything to. A friend, most importantly, is someone who tells you the truth especially when you don’t want to hear it. They tell it to you even though it may hurt, because they care about you. That is what defines a real, true friend. Always do things in friendships, without expecting anything in return. This is what makes a great friendship. One needs to work on friendship continuously in order to keep it viable.
